According to Dean Randall Lindstrom, "My mother, Aline, said that she met my dad, George, at a Saturday night dance in Overton in 1933. They were married at Westmark Church parsonage on Feb. 14, 1934."

Farming[edit]

The Lindstrom Farm was a typical Nebraska grain and livestock operation, with a mix of irrigated and dryland crops. All family members pitched in . . and neighbor helped neighbor.

Here's an 8mm film shot by Aline Lindstrom in the late 1940's showing a typical wheat harvest, corn harvest, and cattle lot on the Lindstrom Farm. (Music is from George Winston's "Plains" album)

Later in Life[edit]

In around 1965, George was in an accident. He was driving a tractor from town back to his farm when he was hit by a car, throwing him off the tractor and into a ditch. He suffered serious injuries. Within the next few years, George found out he had a bone or blood cancer (lymphoma or leukemia perhaps). He survived for another 10-15 years, however, before passing away in 1981.[5]
