According to [[Ellie Bernstein|Ellie Baker]], "[Minnie] was in a nursing home in Elgin for quite a period of time but also lived at home with a caretaker named Bessie Schlossberg.  Minnie had breast cancer and for many years suffered with severe depression.  I remember her having shock treatments several different times.  She was our only living grandparent but unfortunately we really didn't have much of a relationship with her though Dad visited her weekly and many times brought her to our home.  I remember her being at our Passover Sedars.  She is buried with Jean in Waldheim Cemetery in the Chicago area."
