Recollection from Meagan Maddocks (Granddaughter)

My Grandfather and Grandmother met during the depression. They dated for 12 years before they wed. Grandma was at nursing school in Toronto and Fred would come and pick her up from the dormitory.

Lou's mom passed away when the children were young. Lou was the oldest and took care of the house and the children. Apparently her father was a hard man.

Fred stayed in the family funeral home business. My Dad said he would play hide & seek in all the weird hiding places on the funeral home which my "Pa" ended up being the director of.
