- Beatrice died when Eugene Bernstein and Nancy Robins were in DC (in the 1970s)
- Gene says: (Uncle) Ben hugged Gene, crying, and requested that Gene and Nancy name their child Beatrice if it it were a girl, so that there would be another Beatrice Bernstein. (Nancy and Gene were pregnant at the time, but subsequently miscarried.)
